Nita M. Burton

Nita Jean Moch Burton was the daughter of William M. Moch, Sr. and Eleanor Brown Moch. She was born November 24, 1934, in Shreveport, Louisiana and entered into rest March 7, 2023, in Modesto, California.

She was a longtime resident of Stockton, California, and a member of Williams Memorial C.M.E. Temple in Shreveport Louisiana. She then relocated and became a member of Greater Faith Baptist Church in Stockton, California.

She is survived by her children, Kimberly Ahn Burton of Stockton, California and Roderick William Burton of San Francisco, California; a brother Rudy Moch (Evelyn) of Silver Spring, Maryland; three grandchildren, Brittany Synclayr Hood, Jasmine Monique Burton and Justin Maurice Burton; three great- grandchildren Carter Elias Hood-Powe, Randell Lamar Washington Jr., and Gagey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Presley Burton, one daughter Wyndel Denise Burton and two grandsons Kole Renard Fairrer and Gabriel Renard Fairrer and great-grandson Ralando Lamar Washington. She also leaves behind devoted bonus daughters Ashifari Sinada and Pamela Walker-Reed and a host of relatives and friends.

Nita will be missed by her family and friends who loved her dearly.

A celebration of life for Nita will be held Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 4:00 PM at Dave Wong, 2828 W. March Lane, Stockton, CA 95219.
