

Pat was born to Howard and Bertha Vickrey on April 13, 1928 in New Castle, IN and went to “meet her Jesus” on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 27, 2014 in Stockton, CA. at the age of 86. Pat lived in Stockton approximately 76 years.
Also known as Michelle, the photographer, she paved the way for women in business. She opened Portraits by Michelle, the first woman owner-operated photography studio in 1946 to 1971. Michelle’s portraits of AA Stagg still hang in the halls of Stagg High School and of George K. Wever in the Wever Building today.
From 1971 - 1978 she was a Northern California Division Manager for Celebrity Jewelry. In 1979 she was appointed Assistant Director at Careers for 50+ assisting seniors looking for full or part time employment to supplement their income.
In retirement, Pat wrote and mailed Building Bridges of Prayer, a monthly letter to over 300 churches, ministries and businesses, with the belief that prayer combined with unity of all denominations would truly change Stockton and surrounding areas.
She weekly volunteered to teach Bible study at The Stockton Gospel Rescue Mission.
Preceded in death by her parents and her husband Mark L. Zimmerman.
Pat is survived by her daughter Oneta Michelle Dion and their dog Lily. She is also survived by her best friend of 50 years and caregiver for the last 2 years, Darlene Woodard.
A Memorial Service will be held at Frisbie-Warren & Carroll, 809 N. California on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 11:00 am with a reception following at St. Andrews Lutheran Church, 4910 Claremont in Stockton.
