Renee Abdallah

Renee Abdallah passed away on December 11, 2021, in Stockton, CA. Renee, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, is survived by her husband of 61 years, Tony Abdallah, her sons Anthony (Kim) Abdallah, and Michael (Lisa) Abdallah. She leaves behind her grandchildren Stephen (Sarah) Abdallah, Kathryn (Ryan) Chase, Marc Abdallah, Meg Abdallah, and great granddaughter Olivia Abdallah. She also leaves behind a large extended family and many friends. Renee was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Violet Burlo, and brother Maurice Burlo.

Renee was born on August 19, 1941, in Hamrun, Malta. She graduated in 1959 from Cass Tech High School in Detroit, Michigan, which was one of the first magnet schools in the United States. Renee studied art and was the President of the Advertising Art Club, on the Student Council, Hall Guard, and Breakfast Club. Her artwork was published in the local newspaper.

Renee was self-employed, and with her husband, they owned and operated three neighborhood grocery stores for over 25 years. Renee loved sewing, drawing, painting, spending time with her family, and socializing with the ladies. Renee was a kind, caring, and loving woman. She will be missed by family, friends, neighbors, and all those whose lives she touched.

The family would like to thank all of the wonderful people at The Commons on Thornton for their kindness in caring for Renee. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled at 10:00 am, on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1515 W. Benjamin Holt Dr., Stockton, CA with Committal to follow at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, 719 E. Harding Way, Stockton, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to St. Mary’s High School.
