

Robert Clarence Rambo was born on June 25th, 1927, in Stockton, California. He passed away on New Year's Day of this year, in Stockton, three weeks shy of his 96th birthday. He graduated from Stockton High School and, at age 17, joined the Merchant Marines, faithfully serving his country during the second World War.
Robert spent 30 years with the Stockton Fire Department and loved working with his fellow firefighters, eventually becoming First Assistant Fire Chief. He was also a devoted Catholic and a member of the Knights of Columbus. In addition, for many years, he was an avid golfer and dog lover.
In January 1949, Robert married the love of his life, Leora Deposta, otherwise known as "Babe," and their marriage lasted 69 beautiful years. He was a dedicated husband and father. Robert is survived by his daughter, Patricia, his two grandsons, Charles and Robert and his granddaughter-in law, Melanie.
On Monday, January 30th, the viewing will begin at 2:00 pm, at the DeYoung Memorial Chapel on California Street. A rosary will follow at the same location, at 6 pm. The funeral Mass will be said on Tuesday, January 31st, at 10:00 am, at St Luke's Catholic Church. Burial services will follow.
