

Thelma loved to cook. She graduated from the University of Santo Thomas in the Philippines where she learned her craft of cooking. Many will remember how she loved to watch others enjoy her many dishes, which included Filipino dishes like lumpia and pancit. Thelma spent over 20 years working at the Macy’s in Stockton, California where she met many lifelong friends. Family and friends will miss her infectious laugh and wonderful smile.
She was also a loving Mom and Grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband Julio Nera Macabales. Thelma is survived by her son Erwin Isberto Macabales; daughters Lynn Macabales Mayate and Jessie Isberto Macabales; brother Gil Peralta Isberto; 11 Grandchildren and 2 Great grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary in Stockton, California. A Catholic Service will be given by Father Alvaro Araque inside of the Mausoleum at the San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, 719 E. Harding Way in Stockton on Monday, January 13, 2014 at 11:30 AM.
