Funeral services for Wilvin “Lawyer” Emerson Goodwin, 99 yrs., of Stockton will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2013, at Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary in Stockton. The Rev. Dr. Booker Guyton will officiate. Burial will follow at Farmington Cemetery in Farmington. Mr. Goodwin passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 27, 2013.
He is preceded in death by his wife Josie, son Buddy Boy, his parents; Willie Elijah Goodwin and Mattie Ellen Goodwin (Smith), brothers; Walter and Luther Goodwin; sisters; Pellie Magnolia Green, and Wynetia Stevson.
He leaves to mourn his passing his brother Millard Goodwin of Meade Valley, Ca; Caregivers Detra Watson, Samuel Ellis and Selwyn Molden; sons Charles (Lola) Goodwin of Apple Valley, Ca., Don Goodwin of Downey, Ca. and Lee Roy Goodwin of Pasadena, Ca; Daughters Opal Powe of Los Angeles, Mary Riley (Jim) of San Diego, Ca and Diane Lee (Robert) of Pasadena, Ca; 7 Grandsons; 7 Granddaughters and many friends, and other relatives.
