Bryan James Wiebe

1966 - 2023

Bryan Wiebe age 57 years of Edmonton, AB passed away on August 12, 2023 of adenocarcinoma of the bowel. He was born to parents Lorraine Wiebe and Bryan Johnson; then adopted by his grandparents Florence and Lindsey Wiebe. His aunty Sharon was his special caregiver throughout his life.

When he was born, we knew he was special, and as his life unfolded we discovered his many special gifts. Bryan was a “pitch perfect” singer and could brighten a room with is precise renditions of every Elvis song. He enjoyed coke – with no ice, hamburgers and fries which was his treat after every 100% check up with his family doc Dr. T. Loewen. In his quiet moments, he loved a good sensory hand scratching while reminiscing over times at the family farm in Onoway, Summers at Alberta Beach, and rides to the city to visit family friends “Aunty Jessie”, Michael, Margie and Deana.

Left to carry his light in this world are his Aunty Sharon, Aunty Karen (Jamie) Decker, stepsister Sally, and numerous friends and family across western Canada.

Bryan was met in heaven by his mother Lorraine, grandparents Florence and Lindsey Wiebe, Uncle Harvey, and his beloved childhood pet Goldie.

Many thanks to the numerous group home staff that have cared for Bryan since his teens. It takes a village to raise a child and Bryan was blessed with many villages over his life. A special thanks to Dr. Loewen and all the hospital/community teams who cared for Bryan. The care of Dr. P. Grewal and the amazing angel nurses at Eden House who cared for him through his transition to heaven is so appreciated.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at future date.
