Carol Ottilia Degrand

Passed away February 18, 2025 at the age of 81.

She is predeceased by Ella (mother), Henry (father), Ron (brother), Alvin (brother).

She is survived by Lewis (spouse), three children Marlin(Teresa), Paula (Doug), Dion (Christine); seven grandchildren Christian (Jenna), Elysha (Adam), Daniel, Brenden, Jeremy (Matt), Sophie, and Ava; and two great grandchildren Rowan and Westley.

Carol was a loving mother and devoted and caring wife. She loved her family and spending time with family was a priority whether it was family camping trips, golfing with family and friends or long road trips to visit her brothers and sisters. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and playing card games, dominos, and marbles. Missed most will be her love, laughter and her giving spirit. She was well known to bake and cook if she knew family was coming and the more the merrier. Nothing made her happier than a full house of family getting together for special occasions or just when the opportunity arose. Her quiet confidence and selfless nature provided a backbone of support for her family, she was never the loudest in the room but always present and there for others. Her support was always there for all when needed, just a coffee or a phone call away.

She will be dearly missed by all.

A memorial service for Carol will be held Friday, March 7, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:15 PM at Parkland Funeral Services, 3502 44th Ave, Stony Plain, AB T7Z1L1.
