After a very brave battle, Chris was released from Leukemia. Chris is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Annette; his sons: Grayson and Danny; three brothers: Clive (Glenda), Ken (Pat) and Alan; one sister Helen Sabatini; mother and father-in-law: Millie and Horst Steigerwald; best friend and brother, Dennis (Selina) Lupky; sister-in-law Wendy Leroux; brother-in-law, Bernie (Laurie) Leroux and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents: Janet and John McBride, nephew John McBride and brother-in-law Joe Sabatini.
Many thanks to the wonderful caregivers at Stony Plain Hospital, U of A Medical Outpatients Unit and Unit 57 Tom Baker Cancer Centre for their compassion and outstanding care.
A Memorial Service was held Monday, April 18, 2011 from Parkland Funeral Chapel, 3502-44 Avenue, Stony Plain, AB with Pastor Gary McKellar officiating.
