Donald (Don) Stuart Fanning was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, May 21st, 1939 to Gerald and Dorothy Fanning.
He worked for the Glenrose Hospital for 45 years in the housekeeping department. He took great pride in his job and working for the Glenrose. His family moved to Edmonton in the mid forties, he later moved back to Vancouver.
Don will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Laurie Douglas, Wendy Dyble, Connie Fanning and Christine McKenzie; his sister Barbara Leader; his grandchildren Melissa Douglas, Valerie Douglas, Arianne Douglas, Nicole Petryliak, Haley Dyble, Elliot McKenzie, Jenna McKenzie, Chase McKenzie and his great-grandchildren Skyler McNicole, Breanne Marler and Kya Brougham.
He was predeceased by his parents; his daughter Carolyn Dawn; his son Terry Douglas and his brother Bob Fanning.
