Elizabeth Jane Hawkins

Elizabeth passed away peacefully on December 6th, 2020 at the age of 81 years. Elizabeth was born in Leduc on February 15th, 1939 and grew up in Edmonton. She met her loving husband, Michael, while in high school and they were married on November 16th, 1957. After many years of living in Edmonton, Elizabeth and Michael realized their dream of a country life by moving to a lovely acreage near Stony Plain.

Elizabeth had a wonderful talent for crochet and enjoyed many hours creating beautifully designed doilies and afghans for her family. These creations will be treasured for many years to come.

Elizabeth will be sadly missed and always lovingly remembered by her husband, Michael Hawkins; children, Randy (Leslie) Hawkins, Michele (David) Warhaft, Darrin (Loida) Hawkins and Tamara (Darren) Sorensen; grandchildren, Amy, Liam and Shamira Warhaft, Lauren, Sydney, Shaina and Torin Hawkins; siblings Deryl (Elizabeth) Kartz and Doreen (Donald) Whitworth.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Emma Kartz.

Due to Covid restrictions a private family funeral service will take place at St. John’s Lutheran Church(Beach Corner) with interment in the church cemetery. Reverend Roland Kubke officiating.
