

It is with great sadness that the family of Gerard Raymond Godin announces his passing on December 28, 2024, at the age of 73, in Spruce Grove, Alberta.
Gerard was born on July 20, 1951, he grew up in Neguac, N.B and dedicated his life to his family and his work as a mobile crane operator. Known for his strong work ethic and his passion for his craft, Gerard took great pride in his work.
He was happiest when surrounded by his loved ones. His family and friends meant the world to him, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Gerard is survived by his three children, Jacques Godin (Christiane), Marc Godin (Laura), and Monique Chambers (Will); his six grandchildren, Anabelle Godin, Natasha Godin, Nathan Chambers, Kadey Chambers, Simon Godin, and Piper Chambers; and his brother and sisters, Colette Savoie (Robert), Paul-Émile Godin (Gisèle), Marie Godin-Bourgeois (Georges Bourgeois) and Jeanne Godin (Henri Gibbs).
He was predeceased by his parents, Aurèle and Ovilda Godin, and his sisters, Catherine Poirier and Dolorès DeMone.
A Memorial Service to honour Gerard’s life will be held on January 9, 2024, at 10:30 AM at Parkland Funeral Services (3502 44 Avenue, Stony Plain, Alberta), followed by a reception at the Royal Canadian Legion (4902 44 Avenue, Stony Plain, Alberta).
