Kent was born in Calgary but moved to Wabamun while still a young boy. He had a lifelong career as an industrial insulator, first working at the many plants in the area and later further afield.
Kent will be remembered as a kindhearted soul who loved to hang out with his friends and family. As a younger man, he lived on an acreage where he enjoyed hosting gatherings on his big deck overlooking a pond that he had proudly built. Later years would find him enjoying the sunshine while sitting on the deck of his condo in Stony Plain. As a teenager he began his hobby of working on, buying and selling cars and motorcycles - usually at a profit! Throughout his life he always enjoyed taking someone on at a round of pool.
Kent will forever be loved by his spouse and best friend of 18 years, Robin Marthaller, his son Trevor and his grandson Tristan. He is survived by his siblings: Ed (Susan), Jennifer (John) and Jacqui (Jim) as well as nieces: Angela, Kaylee, and Elyssa; nephews: Chris, Ryan, Tyson, and Oren.
He was predeceased by his parents Mae (Holland) Rowe and Jack Holland.
A private family gathering to celebrate Kent’s life will take place at a later date.
