September 8th, 2005 – May 18th, 2024
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Hayley Janice Power, born September 8th, 2005, in Whitehorse, Yukon. Hayley passed away on May 18th, 2024, at the age of 18 years from complications of a sudden cardiac arrest.
Although her time with us was brief, Hayley leaves an indelible legacy of compassion and empathy to those who were fortunate to have known her, which was adorably extended to her immense love for animals. She enjoyed spending time with her close friends, passion for minerals in the form of crystals and cuddling with her pets, especially her cat Pumpkin.
Hayley is lovingly remembered by her dear sister, Alyssa; stepsister, Kayla; Mother, Cheryl; Father, Michael (Stacey); 7 uncles including Tony (Angie) and Ken with whom she shared a special bond; Grandmothers, Cheri and Marian, and many dear family members and friends.
Hayley is preceded in passing by her Uncle Robbie; Aunt Janice who inspired her middle name; and Grandfathers Arthur and Curtis.
As a loving sister, who was graciously endearing to family, and friend to many, she will be deeply missed, but the impression that she left will live on in our hearts forever.
Proceedings will take place at the Best Western Sunrise Inn & Suites in Stony Plain on June 1st, 2024. Beginning with a viewing at 11 am, a service celebrating Hayley’s precious life will be held at 12 pm, followed by a reception, where we will share memories, laughter and tears of a life that was truly a gift to us all.
**Hayley loved bright colours, with her favourite being yellow. Although not mandatory, service attendees are encouraged to wear bright colours.**
