I just Googled Howie to see what he is up to.  I am very sorry that he is gone.  He was a dear friend and a genuinely nice person.  I worked with him at UofA.

My deepest condolences to Howard's family and friends. I enjoyed working with Howie for many years at the U of A and I learned a great deal from him. He had a great sense of humour and loved his grandkids. He will be dearly missed by many.

I work with Howie for many years at the U of A. He will be sadly missed! I remember going to Platos pizza first Friday after pay day, the whole gang would go, him and I would order salted ceasers, went our 2nd came I had no salt but his did. They reused our glasses, giving me Howies glass!

So sad to hear of Howie's passing.  I enjoyed working with him at the U of A.

I knew Howard in the 80's and we had a blast working together. I miss those times.........

I remember Uncle Howard's broad smile. He always seemed to enjoy having us kids around, even when we caused a little trouble. I am sorry he's gone and I'll miss him.

I met Howie when I started working at the U. He was such a gentle and friendly man with a great big smile and a twinkle in his eyes. He always had kind words and a supportive demeanour. My deepest condolences to Howie's family; he is missed.
