December 13th, 2023 at age 40, passed away unexpectedly but quietly in her sleep.
Born in Fort McMurray, she was the beautiful daughter of Doris Jean and Terry Saxton. She was the proud mother of her son, Dylan Copeland. Katrina was currently residing in Stony Plain to enable her to be close to her family, specifically her grandmother, Evie Jean Lazenby and her favourite Uncle Cecil Perry.
Katrina is survived by brothers Joseph and Daniel, who she loved dearly. She will always be remembered by her nieces and nephews Marcus, Annabelle, Luca and Amelia – it brought her so much happiness to be called “Auntie Trina”. Her smile was so very bright when she hugged those kids.
She had such a beautiful soul and was always there to help others, she liked to give whatever others needed throughout her childhood and on through her life. She was so funny, her laughter and big smile will always be remembered.
She was bright, beautiful, sensitive and loved her family dearly. As a young girl she was filled with curiosity and had a wonderful sense of humour, which she carried on into her adulthood. Katrina was always refinishing furniture or “redoing” her homes. She learned to do so much carpentry work such as flooring, trim and enjoyed every minute of it. Then there was her passion for Shopping, whether it was clothes or home design, she was hard to keep up with.
She was fearless and such a fierce protector of her family and friends. She loved animals but had a particular passion for turtles and frogs. She was drawn to the ocean, as a young girl she wanted to be a Marine Biologist so she could swim with dolphins and Whales.
Dylan was her only child and she loved him with all of her heart and soul.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Parkland funeral services in Stony Plain.
There is no visitation or service at this time.
A celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
