It is with saddened hearts that we must announce the passing of our father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather, Richard Woods McCullough on March 29th, 2022 at the age of 90 years.
Richard leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife of 70 years, Virginia; his sons, Brad and Mark and his daughter, Colleen. He leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his daughter in law, Terri (Brad); his great-grandchild, Gabriel; his parents, Rose and Richard as well as his two sisters, Lillian and Eileen.
Richard was a well respected and long-time employee of the County of Parkland serving as the Director of Transportation until an untimely car accident forced him into retirement. He also owned and ran a small farm west of Stony Plain for 40 years. He spent his last two years at West Country Hearth where he quickly became a favorite client.
Dad loved his Lord and today is celebrating in Heaven with many loved ones, and we celebrate along with him.
Richard was well loved by all who knew him and will be missed by all. We were truly blessed by his presence and privileged to have known and loved such a kind, generous, and loving man.
A Memorial Service for Richard will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, May 9, 2022 at the Muir Lake Community Alliance Church, 53428 Secondary Highway 779, Parkland County AB with Pastor Brad Epp officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard’s memory can be made to the Alberta Brain Injury Association.
