Judy Stokes, 59, of Tomkins Cove, NY passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 13th, 2015. She was the daughter of Mary Donato of Tomkins Cove and the late William Donato. She was also predeceased by her loving son, William Donato Jr. She is survived by her husband, Edward “Jerry” Stokes of Tomkins Cove, 2 daughters Kayla Torres and her husband Louie of Tomkins Cove, Nicole Stokes of Lake Aerial, PA, step-daughter Maria Stokes of Garnerville, NY; 5 grandchildren: William Donato III, Hailey Stokes, Louis and Emily Torres, and Savannah Keffer. She is also survived by her lifelong friend Margaret “Pepper” Peller of Oregon. Judy loved to do crafts but her greatest joy came from her family. Family will receive friends on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Higgins Funeral Home in Stony Point, NY. Services will be held on Saturday, 10:30am, at the funeral home followed by interment at Mt. Repose Cemetery, Haverstraw, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a charity of your choice in Judy’s name.
