Larry J. Parker Sr.

Larry J. Parker, Sr., 74, died peacefully on January 20, 2017 at Joe Raso Hospice Residence surrounded by his loving family.

Larry was born in Cornwall, NY to the late Leon William and Mary Elizabeth (Kosto) Parker on May 3, 1942. He graduated from Haverstraw High School in 1959. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for 2 years. For 37 years, he was employed by Orange and Rockland/Mirant. Larry married Joyce Baisley on April 19, 1969.

His loving wife, Joyce and children Dawn Parker of Stony Point, NY, Michelle (Kevin) Conklin of Bear Mountain, NY and Larry Parker, Jr. of Oceanside, CA, survive him. His grandchildren Kimberly Castelluccio and Peter Iannone, his sister-in-law Gladys (Fay) Parker and many nieces and nephews also survive him. His sister Mary Paruolo and his brother Arthur Parker predeceased him.

Larry loved spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, horseshoes and playing softball. He will be missed by all.

On January 29th from 10 am to noon the family will be receiving friends at Higgins Funeral Home, 73 N. Liberty Dr. (9W), Stony Point, NY and a memorial service will be held at 11:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the United Hospice of Rockland, 11 Stokum Lane, New City, NY 10956.
