

Arminda Poole Delaney, age 89, died at Cleveland Clinic on Oct. 21, 2021. She is survived by her two children, Lynn Hamil (George Yarborough) and Leslie Hitchcock (Skipper), her four grandchildren, Scott Hamil, Brooke Lord (Jonathon), Andrew Cummins (Jen), Erin Cummins, and 3 great grandchildren. Arminda was born July 22, 1932 in Jasper, GA. She attended Shorter College in Rome, GA (1952) and matriculated from the University of Florida in 1954. She was predeceased by her parents, Will and Myrtle Poole, and her husband Ward Delaney. Arminda was a vivacious and loving mother and grandmother. She loved entertaining and traveling. Services will be private family affair. The family would like to extend their profound thanks to our mother’s longtime caregivers, Fritz Lubin and Mesha Alcine.
