He was born on February 15,1946 in New York City, NY to the late Edward and Margaret (Lloyd) Shannon. He grew up in Bergen County, NJ and moved to Florida in the early 1990's. He also had served in the Army Reserves.
He was employed by the State of Florida as a Systems Analyst for the Division of Children and Family, retiring in 2011.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife Bonnie; son, Todd; daughter-in- law, Lori; grandson Greg and granddaughter Paige and her husband Ryan; great grandchildren, Caralena and Colton; sister-in-law Barbara; brother-in-laws, Carl, Ken and wife Pila, and Gary; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Edward.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 11:00 am at All Saints Cemetery, 2303 NE Seaview Dr., Jensen Beach, FL 34957. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice at www.treasurehealth.org.
