Mrs. Dolores "Lola" Gomez

Dolores “Lola” Gomez was born in Alice, TX on February 23. 1931 and died in Indiantown, Florida on November 22, 2009. Lola enjoyed her visits to Texas to see family, as well as Colorado to spend time with her son, Pete and family. Lola loved to watch her baseball games and tele-novelas. She was a loving caretaker who provided daycare to many children in the Indiantown community, where she lived for over 44 years. Lola loved to play bingo, and making Sunday breakfast for her family was also a joy for her. Lola was a woman of deep faith who prayed to the “Virgin De Guadalupe", and who taught the family many lessons and values that will sustain them for a lifetime.Lola was predeceased by her husband of 36 years, Reynaldo Gomez, Sr. and sisters, Ramona, Maria and Petra. Lola was a loving mother of four sons Rey, Leo (Linda), Freddie, all of Indiantown, FL; Pete Gomez (Lillian) of Alamosa, CO; one sister, Antonia Garcia, of Alice, TX; twelve grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and great nieces. A viewing will be held on Friday, November 27, 2009 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Aycock Funeral Home in Stuart, FL. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, in Indiantown, FL on November 28, 2009 at 10:00 a.m.Arrangements under the direction of Aycock Funeral Homes, Stuart, FL.
