

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, Mr. Parent had previously been a resident of Nashua, New Hampshire before moving to Indiantown, Florida in 1987.
He worked in the railroad industry and was employed by the Boston and Maine Railroad for 45 years. Mr. Parent had also served as a union representative for the Boiler Makers Union in Boston, MA.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and proudly served our country in World War II, in addition to being a member of the Constabulary after World War II in Europe.
Mr. Parent was a member of the VFW in Indiantown, as well as the BPOE in Chelmsford, MA. He was of Catholic faith and was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
Mr. Parent is survived by his wife of 50 years, Doris Parent of Indiantown, FL; daughter, Gail Brown (Robert) of Indiantown, FL; son, Alan Parent (Louise) of Derry, New Hampshire; grandchildren, Nathan, Heather, Taylor and Katie; great grandchildren, Noah, Abigail, Andrew, Reagan, and Vance, and one brother, Alphee Parent of Chester, Vermont.
Mr. Parent was predeceased by his brothers, Roger, Arthur, Lucien, and Robert.
A memorial service will be held on June 7, 2011 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Indiantown, Florida at 5:00 PM.
