Born in Sherman, Mississippi, Mrs. Carlson was a homemaker.
She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Port St. Lucie, Fl and loved to play bingo, and antiques.
Mrs. Carlson is survived by her husband of 50 years, Billy; son, Joseph Fly of Jensen Beach, FL; son, Steven E. Fly, of Memphis, TN; daughter, Margaret Fly of Jensen Beach, FL; six grandchildren; brother, Edsel Ford Duke of Memphis, TN, and her sister, Hazel Bishop, of Franklin, TN.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Cynthia Virginia Carlson.
Visitation will be held on March 1, 2011 at Aycock Funeral Home in Stuart, Florida from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM with a funeral service starting at 2:00 PM.
