Helena Hanan

A native of Greenwich, CT, she had lived in Stuart, FL since 1978 coming from Princeton, New Jersey.

Mrs. Hanan was a graduate of Miss Porter’s School of Farmington CT and attended Finch Junior College in New York City.

She was a member of the New York Junior League, and a former chairwoman of the Princeton Medical Center’s Annual June Fete. Mrs. Hanan was also the former President of Princeton Medical Center’s Women’s Auxiliary, former member of the Board of Trustees of Princeton Nursery School, Pretty Brook Club, and Princeton Small Animal Rescue League.

Mrs. Hanan was also a member of the Nantucket Yacht Club, Sankacty head Golf and Beach Club of Nantucket and the Yacht and Country Club of Stuart, FL.

She was an Episcopalian.

Mrs. Hanan in lovingly survived by her son, C. Addison Hanan (Renee) of Wayland, MA; daughter, Sheila H. Lathrop (John) of Boyce, VA; grandchildren, Jay, Christopher, Charlie, Amanda, Jessica and Brandon; and two great grandchildren, Alaina and Jake.

A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held on Friday, February 4, 2012 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at Mrs. Hanan’s residence in Stuart.
