Jack Adamo’s life and legacy are marked by witty aphorisms, a zest for travel, a savvy business sense, and abiding love for his family and many friends. Jack was born the eldest son to Anthony (Tony) and Concetta (Connie) Adamo in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania on June 11, 1948. His much loved younger brother, Anthony, joined the family on May 3, 1953.
Jack spent his formative school years at St. Patrick’s Catholic School, where his mischievous nature kept the good sisters on their toes, before matriculating to Canon McMillian High School in Canonsburg, and finishing his academic career with a bachelor of science degree in business from Robert Morris University in 1971.
After marrying the literal “girl next door”, his beloved wife, Marcy (neè Kuchera). the couple moved to South Florida to begin their lives together. As Jack put his business acumen to work, he and Marcy settled in Wellington, FL to raise their three children: Nicole, Gina, and Anthony (T.J.). Jack successfully built two businesses while cultivating a family life full of love and laughter. Each of Jack’s children married and their spouses quickly came to know him as “Dad”.
He gained two son-in-laws, Daniel (Dan) and Brian, and a daughter-in-law, Kara. Then, the family grew as Jack relished the role of “Papa” to nine grandchildren - Dylan (17), Hailey (16), Madelyn (12), Derek (12), Layla (9), Felicity (8), Jack (7), Brooke (6), and Charles (Charlie 5).
Surrounded by their loving family and friends, Marcy and Jack celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year on March 6th. Jack enjoyed spending good times with his extended family and friends, traveling all over the United States and Europe, and rebuilding and refurbishing cars. He touched so many with his generous spirit and a well timed joke that Jack’s memory will last in the hearts of all who loved him deeply.
