Joe was born in Newark, Ohio on April 12, 1954 to Milton (Bud) Holmes, and Patty (Brown) Holmes.
He was a skilled carpenter, and cabinet maker. Joe enjoyed camping, classic cars, fishing and racing.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen (Crago) Holmes of Stuart, FL; his beautiful daughters, Janae and Lindsay Holmes of Washington, D.C.; their mother, Linda Deginder of Marathon, FL; his mother, Patty Holmes of Newark, Ohio; stepdaughter, Nikki Fisher of Stuart, FL; brothers, Randy of Newark, OH and Rick (Kathy) of Placida, FL; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and dear friends.
Joe was predeceased by father, Milton, brother Jack and baby daughter Shelby.
A celebration of life will be held for Joe at a later date.
