Karam John Haddad Jr., better known as Junior, Captain, Dad and Poppy died on December 24, 2009 at the age of 85. He died at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Stuart, FL from pancreatic cancer. He was born in Plymouth, MA on April 17, 1924. He later moved from Cape Cod to Stuart, FL where he lived for over 50 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp, serving in World War II. Before retiring, he was the Captain of the Chanticleer Yacht for 52 years, which was owned by Ralph Evinrude and Frances Langford. He had a love for the sea and traveled the world by boat. He was a member of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church. Survivors include his three sons, Rick Lounders of Dandridge. TN; Karam Haddad III of Hobe Sound, FL; John Haddad of Stuart, FL; daughter, Catherine Mahoney of Stuart, FL; sisters, Eleanor Senay of Onset, MA, Claire Gordon of Wareham, MA and Millie Zimmerman of New Orleans, LA; brother, John Haddad of San Francisco, CA; and 7 grandchildren. Friends may call at the Aycock Funeral Home from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, December 29, 2009.
