

Born on January 21,1947, in New York, New York and raised in Riverside, Connecticut, she was the cherished daughter of the late Charles Carlton Kelley, Jr., and Dorothy Jordan Kelley.
She graduated from Saint Mary's High School in Greenwich, Connecticut before earning her undergraduate degree at Rosemont College and a graduate degree from Fairfield University. She built a meaningful career as Assistant to the President of Greenwich Hospital, where her dedication left a lasting impression. Later, she devoted herself to being a stay-at-home mom, pouring her heart into raising her children and contributing to their school communities.
Karen shared a beautiful 50-year marriage with her husband, Jerome "Jerry" Martin. She was the proud mother of Matthew (Leeanne) and Katharine (Aaron) and the adoring grandmother to Hadley (14), Caroline (12), Maeve (7), and Jack (5). In addition to her husband, children, and grandchildren, she is survived by her brother Donald Kelley.
Her family was her greatest joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
A devoted Roman Catholic, Karen's faith was central to her life. Known for making holidays magical, she brought joy and wonder to all who gathered around her. Her warmth extended beyond family—she had an extraordinary gift for connecting with people and made everyone feel valued..
Karen leaves behind a legacy of love that will endure through all who knew her. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness touched countless lives. May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her deeply.
