Kevin Joseph Perez

Loving son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friends to many. Kevin was born in Astoria, New York in 1959 and then moved to Matawan, NJ where he resided with his loving family for 26 years. He loved spending time with his sister’s family, brother-in-law Rich and his nephew and niece Craig an Courtney. He then moved with his parents to Hutchinson Island, FL in 1989. His Dad was able to have a precious year with his son, Kevin, on the Island before his passing.

Kevin enjoyed riding bikes, swimming in the pool, being at the beach, riding the golf cart and bowling. He always loved listening to music. He would dance and sway his head back and forth for hours. He loved to sing. He also enjoyed playing with Legos, drawing letters, watching game shows and the weather. Being around people is what he loved most.

His last 3 years were spent at Quality Care in Port St. Lucie, where he made lifelong friends and had the best care you could possibly ask for. He would go on outings with Mike, Rene, Bill and his friends. They were his extended family who loved Kevin very much and he them. They are truly Angels from above. The other Angels from above are all he wonderful people from Treasure Coast Hospice. We can’t thank them enough for the care they gave Kevin and the support and comfort they provided to our family during this difficult time.

Kevin taught us by example how to be kind and love everyone with an open heart. Despite his challenges or any pain he might have felt, he would always have a smile on his face. He loved life and has touched the hearts of so many people. We are so blessed to have had him in our lives. He will be in our hearts forever.

Surviving are his mother, Dorothy Hart Perez, a sister Karen Lyon and brother-in-law Richard Lyon of South Brunswick, NJ, nephew Craig Lyon, niece Courtney Lyon and his wonderful Quality Care Family.
