As a young girl, Linda moved with her family to Belle Glade, Florida, in the 1950s, where she was raised alongside her five sisters and one brother. She often shared stories of her childhood, remembering how her mother lovingly sewed and made all of their clothes, a reflection of the strong family values that shaped her life. She attended Belle Glade High School, where she graduated in 1960.
Shortly after high school, Linda began dating the love of her life, Ron Kirchman. They later married and built a beautiful life together, sharing 61 wonderful years of marriage. They began their family in Belle Glade before moving to Stuart, Florida. There, Linda became the co-founder of Kirchman Construction in 1971, working alongside her husband, Ron. Her organization, dedication, and exceptional bookkeeping skills were instrumental to the company’s success.
Linda was first and foremost devoted to her family. She was a proud and loving mother to her two daughters and one son, and her greatest joy was being “Nanny” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She loved the outdoors; fishing, spending time at the beach, riding around in the woods and protecting her divers while driving the boat. Her love of gardening evidence of the constant blooming orchids and greenery that surrounded their home, she had a green thumb like no other.
Most importantly, Linda was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord deeply. Her faith guided her life, her marriage, and the way she cared for others. She had many dear friends and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ron Kirchman, who passed on November 30, 2025. Their love story was one of devotion, partnership, and shared purpose. Ronald and Linda were proud parents to three children: Ronnie (Stormi), Sherri (Garry), and Wendy (Jason). They were also blessed with grandchildren, Courtney, Olivia, Rachael, Mackenzie, Austin and Gavin, great-grandchildren, Rosie and Robbie and three step grandchildren, Trey, Jake, and Luke. Linda was preceded in death by her late husband, Ron, parents, Evelyn and Lee L, brother, Jerry and sisters, Janet and Karen, and son in law, Chip.
Linda was beautiful inside and out, known for her blond hair, blue eyes, and flawless skin. She will be remembered for her strength, her loyalty, and the deep love she had for her family. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the family she raised.
