Lois is preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Thomason, and her husband, John L Messina. Lois is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Teresa DeMilt, by her grandchildren, Troy Thomason (Katie), Shea Thomason (Kristy), Russell Schoemer (Christen), and great-grandchildren, Rocco and Zoe Thomason, Mackenzie and Chase Thomason, and Peighton Schoemer.
She was born to Raymond and Rose Gaubeen on February 27, 1930. Growing up in Detroit, Michigan, Lois met her husband, John Messina, and together with her two children, Debra and Richard, the family moved to Florida.
Lois was a clerk for Village of North Palm Beach prior to moving to Hobe Sound, Florida. After retiring, Lois enjoyed her time with family and friends creating memories.
A memorial mass is scheduled for 11:30AM on December 11, 2021, at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church on US 1 in Hobe Sound. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Saint Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital on her behalf.
