Manuel (Manny) E. Higuera, 70, of Stuart, Florida passed away suddenly on May 24, 2015 at his home in Stuart. Born in Baracoa, Cuba, Manny lived in Madrid, Spain before relocating to the United States in the early 1960’s. Prior to moving to the Treasure Coast in 2001, Manny lived in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut. He enjoyed his retirement and spent his time exercising at the gym and conducting genealogical research. He had a wonderful outlook on life and lived it to the fullest and he was loved by all who met him. He is survived by his wife, Karen; daughter, Malena, and her husband, Ryan and grandson, Sebastien, of New York City; son, Kevin, and his wife, Kristy, and granddaughter, Hailey, of New Hyde Park, NY; step-son, James Vernocchi, of Norwalk, Ct; sister, Miriam of Coral Gables, FL.
