Marie Woodruff Pitt

Marie was born September 28, 1945 in Orange, NJ and is survived by her husband and three sons; William Edward Pitt of Parish, FL, James Page Pitt of Palm City, FL, and Thomas Colston Pitt of Jensen Beach, FL along with two grandsons and four granddaughters. She is also survived by three brothers; Edward Woodruff of Huntington, WV, David Woodruff of Philadelphia, PA, and Kenneth Woodruff of Fayetteville, GA along with four nephews and two nieces.

Marie was proud to be a teacher of many years spending a majority of her career at Indiantown Middle School in Indiantown, FL. After retirement she volunteered at Bessy Creek Elementary for several years. She loved animals, sewing, crafts, and puzzles and was an avid camper. Marie was blessed to have many friends and particularly enjoyed her Sunday Dinner Group.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Marie at the Port Salerno Community Center, 4940 SE Anchor Avenue, Stuart, FL from 1:00 to 5:00 PM on Sunday August 28, 2022. In leu of flowers Marie would have preferred people to volunteer to the organization of their choice.
