Mat was born on April 13,1954 in Rochester, MN. The family soon relocated to WY. Mat graduated from Jackson Hole high school, class of 1972. He enlisted in the US Marine Corps in August of that year & served for 2 years - once a Marine, always a Marine. He relocated to FL in 1977 and spent his career in construction, notably the concrete industry. He loved to read, camping in our state parks, kayaking, snow skiing and dogs.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Joan, his brother Mark(Gloria) in Kansas and several nieces & nephews. Predeceased by his parents and sister, Sarah.
There are no services planned at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
