Patricia was born on February 2, 1934 to Lilian and Nicholas McGrath in New York City, NY. Patricia later met and married Alfred Francis Murphy, who at the time was a fireman with the FDNY. With Patricia’s support and encouragement, Alfred continued his education at Fairleigh Dickinson University and became a dentist.Patricia and Alfred went on to have four children - Theresa, Michael, Robert and John.
The couple relocated from NYC to Tennessee and later moved to Florida. While in Tennessee, Patricia earned a Bachelor in Nursing from Middle Tennessee State University.
Patricia is survived by her sister Mary Rieger, her four children and eleven grandchildren.
