

Pauline S. Voisinet, May 9, 1914 - August 1, 2017
Pauline Suzanne (Vanhouwe) Voisinet, 103 years old, of Stuart, FL, passed away peacefully Monday, August 1, 2017 at the Stuart Nursing and Restorative Care Center. She had resided in Stuart for 60 years, arriving in 1957.
Pauline was born on May 9th, 1914 in Plunkett, Saskatchewan, Canada in a one room house-on-the-prairie on her father's original Canadian homestead. Pauline is the daughter of Leon Alphonse Vanhouwe and Adolphine Fealhaber, both of whom emigrated to the US in the early 1900's from France. Pauline lost her mother at age 4. Her father later relocated from Canada to Woonsocket, Rhode Island where he established a French-Belgium Delicatessen. Pauline worked in her father's deli after she became of age.
Pauline married Joseph Edgar Voisinet on September 2, 1935 in Woonsocket, RI. Edgar worked in the textile mills as a mechanic/machinist. Four children were born into the family, all born in Woonsocket. In 1957 the family moved to Stuart where Edgar got a job at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. Edgar died on March 16, 2003.
Pauline was an accomplished pianist. It was a lifelong talent that she enjoyed even up to recent years. She especially enjoyed classical, waltzes, and gospel songs.
Pauline is survived by her only daughter, Jeannine, of Palm City, FL; and three sons: Roger, of Woonsocket, RI; Andy of Palm City; and Robert of Stuart, along with 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:00am on Friday, August 11, 2017 at the Aycock Funeral Home, 505 S Federal Highway in Stuart, Fl followed by internment at the Fernhill Cemetery in Stuart at 11:30am.
The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to 'The Charles & Rae Kane Center, Adult Day Club, 900 SE Salerno Road, Stuart, FL 34997' in the name of Pauline S. Voisinet.
