Peter M. Sosnovich, Jr., 82, passed away peacefully at home on August 11, 2025. Peter was a devoted husband to his wife, Cheryl, for 57 years, and a cherished friend to many. Peter was survived by his brothers Donald and Richard (Diane) Sosnovich of Seymour, CT, a niece and several nephews. Peter was a teacher and principal at Ansonia School System in Connecticut, for 40 years retiring in 1999 to Stuart, FL.
He will be remembered not only for his genuine interest in all people, his love of traveling and the arts, but for his quick wit, generosity, and thoughtfulness. Peter will be deeply missed by his wife, Cheryl, and all who knew him.
A celebration of his life will be held at The Champions Club, 3400 Summerfield Way, Stuart, FL on September 9th at 1:00. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Stuart Community Concert Band, 4102 SW Aler St, Port St. Lucie, FL 34953.
