
Phyllis M. McCann, 84, of Sunrise, Florida passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Phyllis was born July 8, 1931 in Sebring, Ohio. Phyllis was the daughter of Homer and Florence (Lindsey) Munsell. She was the sister of Donald Munsell of Stuart, Florida who remained close to her and loving husband Jack, throughout their life. She is survived by her loving children Tim McCann and Dawn McCann, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, and innumerable “spiritual sons and daughters”. Phyllis married Jack McCann on July 1, 1950 in Sebring, Ohio. They later lived in Youngstown, Ohio - Florissant, Missouri – Hobe Sound, Florida and Sunrise, Florida. Phyllis worked for a short time for Speakman Insurance, a Natiowide Insurance Company in Sebring, Ohio, and in Youngstown Ohio for the Government for a few years. She also sold “Emmons” jewelry at home parties so she could stay home and raise her family. She was for the most part, a stay at home mom. She was a loving, dedicated, devoted wife and mother. . The most important things to her were her relationship with God and loving on her family. Not wanting anyone to leave her home hungry, it was always amusing to find “treasures” in her freezer. She always kept potato chips and paper plates stored in unique places waiting for your visit. She shared her heart and home, but most of all she shared her love for God’s word and spirit to be real in others lives as it was in hers. Phyllis will be laid to rest at Riverside Memorial Park in Tequesta, Florida with her husband, who went to heaven just 6 days before her, to make sure the mansion would be just right, and prepare the homecoming celebration. A memorial celebration will be held at her daughters church Liberty Life Center 6800 SW 21st Ct. Davie, Fl. 333317, Saturday August 15, 2015 at 3 pm.
