
Robert is survived by his four children, Katherine, Kevin, Timothy and Robert and their spouses, eight grandchildren, brother Thomas Michael Farrell III, sister Marian and several nieces, nephews and close cousins. Robert was predeceased by his parents Mr. Thomas Michael Farrell, II and Marian Farrell, followed by his step mother, Eleanor Farrell.
Robert graduated from Manasquan High School and continued is education as a student athlete and completed an AA degree at University of Maryland. Robert was enamored with the NJ shore and worked as a lifeguard on Manasquan Beach for several summers. “Bob” married his high school sweetheart, Mary Slattery and with their children lived in Maryland for several years. Bob joined the United States Army reserves and trained as an infantry officer and honorably discharged completing four years of service, obtaining the rank of fist lieutenant. Robert later enjoyed a lasting career in electrical and fiber optic executive sales with the Thomas and Betts Corporation and later with Biben Sales group. The family returned to the Jersey shore where Robert continued his career in electrical sales. After moving to Hobe Sound, Robert continued his vocation part time with the Home Depot electrical department, in Stuart, where his expertise was well received. Robert was an active member and supportive of the Knights of Columbus. He was socially active with several friends within the Lost Lakes Community of Hobe Sound.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at St. Christopher Catholic Church in Stuart, FL at 1:00 PM. Arrangements are entrusted to Aycock Funeral Home, Young and Prill Chapel.
