Robert Alan Spaulding

A beloved father, grandfather and friend, Robert “Bob” Alan Spaulding passed peacefully on May 7th, 2023, in Stuart, Florida. Bob was born in Medford, Massachusetts to the late Harry Spaulding and late Iva Getchell Spaulding. He is preceded in death by his son, Alan Charles Spaulding and survived by his son Bryan Robert Spaulding (wife Caitlin Spaulding) and their children Lola, Sullivan and MacIntyre; and his daughter Diana Catherine Metiver (husband Jesse Metiver) and their children Carina and Caleb.

Bob earned both his Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics (1970) and Master of Science in Information and Computer Science (1974) from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He had a successful career in the field of Computer Sciences, working as a Manager through Vice President. Bob also served his country as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army.

Bob was known for his intellect, love of travel and sense of humor. Bob enjoyed life to the fullest. He lived all over the United States and Taiwan, but always returned to Florida. He was a world traveler, an avid trivia player, loved to bicycle, loved to fish and was always willing to go on an adventure. Bob was a devoted father and grandfather and was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren.

A committal service for Robert will be held on Friday, May 26th at 9AM at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 FL-7, Lake Worth, FL 33449. The following day there will be a memorial service for Robert held at Aycock Funeral Home, 6801 SE Federal Highway, Stuart, FL 34997 from 2PM to 4PM.
