Ronald T. Polsgrove

Polsgrove, Ronald T. Hobe Sound, FL. Age 84, died May 29, 2022. Ron was born August 19, 1937 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Thomas Rodney and Myrtle May (Leukfehr) Polsgrove. He was a 1955 graduate of Flint Central High School. He married Betty A. Lavelle September 14, 1957 and she preceded him in death on January 20, 2006. Ron married Susan Herron on May 10, 2022 in Stuart, FL.

Ron was a remodeling contractor and owner of Ron’s Kitchens and Baths in Burton, MI until his retirement in 2002. Ron was an elder, usher, and enjoyed working in nursery with Betty at First Presbyterian Church and Flint, MI. In retirement, he was a member of Peace Presbyterian Church of Stuart, FL. Ron was an active and distinguished member of the West Flint Optimist Club having served in many roles as well as past president. Ron enjoyed retirement in Eaglewood having served on many committees as well as past president of the Eaglewood Men’s Golf Association and until recently played 3 rounds of golf a week.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents Thomas R. and Myrtle M., his wife Betty, brothers Linzel and Raymond; sisters: Lucille Meadows, Maxine Carter, Joann Woodard, Velma Dodge, Rachel Swatzell, Madeline Bright and Shirley Ann. Surviving are wife Susan of Hobe Sound, sister Carol Nelson of Stuart, sons: Thomas (Debbie) Polsgrove of Virginia, Mark (Andrea) of Michigan, Russell (Tracey) of Massachusetts, Dennis (Jodi) of Connecticut; grandchildren: Spencer, Veronica, Margaret, Kyle, Jacob and Benjamin Polsgrove; step-children Mark Davis, Brian Davis, Bridgette (Monte) Doverspike.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30am, Sunday, June 5 at Peace Presbyterian Church 44881 SE Cove Rd, Stuart, FL.
