March 13th, 2024 – 7:10AM – The streets of heaven were blessed with another angel, our beloved mother, Sarah Glatz – mother to Christopher, Johanna, and Rachel, mother-in-law to Rodney and Michael, grandmother to Bronson, Madison, Bella, Jackson and too many friends to count, whose lives were enriched, whose hearts grew stronger, and whose bad days were lessened by Sarah.
Born on November 25th, 1944 at 99 Scotts Street in Hamilton Scotland to Sadie and Thomas Rocks later to arrive on the south side of Chicago as a young woman who would wed Ed Glatz and together had Christopher, Johanna and Rachel.
Our beloved mother was an avid reader, loved her library card and a beautiful love for animals that she passed down to her children and grandchildren. Sarah had a life best defined by the children she raised to always be honest, work hard and follow her steps in making the lives better for everyone we met until the day heaven was blessed have her. She has always been proud of how her children and grandchildren continue her legacy of enriching lives, growing hearts stronger and lessening the bad days.
Sarah was never shy about working to make us all better and never spared a word to help us be the people she knew we could be. To be fair she earned and loved the reputation of veraciously defending her children and grandchildren to those who would question or challenge her.
Memorial services will be held at St Christopher’s church in Hobe Sound Florida, Monday March 18th at 10:30. Please join us in celebrating a truly once in a generation life, mother, grandmother and friend to all those would were lucky to know and share life with her.
