The son of Albert and Anna Steigerwald, he was born and lived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania until retiring to Stuart 3 years ago.
Stag was a small business owner, including Tropical Tan and Olde Southern Saloon in Pittsburgh.
He is survived by two sons, Mike Steigerwald and his wife Johanny Jacobsen of Portland, OR and J. Scott Steigerwald of West Springfield, PA; two grandchildren, Alisha Steigerwald of Portland, OR, and Antonio Sarno of Trondheim, Norway.
Stag is predeceased by his brothers, Bill, Jack and Al Steigerwald and a sister, Bettie Winterton.
An avid Steelers football fan, Stag also enjoyed Pirates baseball, good eating, swimming and days at the beach, but mostly spending time with his family and friends.
A private celebration of his life was held at Prawnbroker Grill, Stuart, Florida.
