She was a part-time resident of Palm City.
She was born March 4, 1918, in Harrison County, Ky. Her parents were Frank and Ada (Switzer) Dixon.
A graduation of Eastern Kentucky University, she taught school in Fayette County, Ky., for 30 years.
She is survived by two sons, Eldon Phillips, Palm City, and Leo Phillips, Lexington, Ky.; and a grandson, Brian Phillips, Lexington, Ky.
Her husband of 60 years, George W. Phillips, died in 1997.
Visitation and burial will be in Lexington, Ky.
