Waltraud "Trudy" Ondich

Born in Germany, she had previously lived in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida and California before relocating to the Hobe Sound area in 2004.

Prior to retirement, Trudy worked in the cosmetic industry, having sold for Estee Lauder for 15 years. She loved exercise and the out of doors, excelling at tennis, and enjoying biking, hiking, swimming, reading, and travel.

She was of Lutheran faith and had previously attended Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palm City, Florida.

Trudy is survived by her husband of 46 years, Arthur Ondich of Hobe Sound, FL; daughter, Ingrid Roupp of Hobe Sound, FL; son, Eric Atchley of Tobyhanna, PA; son, Stephen Ondich and daughter-in-law Heidi of Upland, CA; grandchildren Derrick, Robert, Molly, Sabrina, Sadie, and great grandchild Jasmine. Brothers Henner and Alfred and sister Christa in Germany.

Due to the storm of Hurricane Matthew, Mrs. Ondich’s memorial service originally scheduled for October 6th has been rescheduled for Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow at Aycock Funeral Home Young and Prill Chapel, 6801 SE Federal Highway, Stuart, Florida 34997.
