Eleanor Falls Coleman

Eleanor was born in Virginia to the late Thelma and Elmer Falls on June 23, 1940.

She was part of the last graduating class from Fairfield High School in 1960, and was a CNA with a local Blue Ridge Nursing Home in Stuarts Draft. Eleanor was a longtime member of Sherlynd Baptist Church and cherished her church family.

In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gene Coleman Sr., and a brother, Franklin Falls.

Eleanor is survived by her children, David Coleman and significant-other, Jenny Will of Stuarts Draft, Laurie Shifflett and husband, Stacy Shifflett, Sr. of Tuttle, OK, and Gene Coleman, Jr. and significant-other, Sherry Mason of Mocksville, NC. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Stacy Shifflett, Jr., Nicholas Coleman and Elizabeth Dameron; as well as a brother, Lewis Falls; sisters, Brenda Schoenbeck, Phyllis Rogers and husband, Pete, and Glenice McConnell and husband, Malcolm. Lastly, she is survived by numerous cousins and her special church family.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 8:00PM at Sherlynd Baptist Church.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Sherlynd Baptist Church with Pastor Allen George officiating. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park, after which there will be a meal provided to any who wish to attend at Sherlynd Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Mike Beasley, Stacy Shifflett Sr., Timmy Fitzgerald, Andy Beasley, Ritchie Hanger and Jerry Bryant.
