Helen Elizabeth Lane

Born July 15, 1920 in Stuarts Draft, she was the daughter of the late Samuel C. and Lottie V. (Fretwell) Sollazzo.

Mrs. Lane was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. She retired from Bank of America where she worked as the head teller. Helen loved her grandchildren, reading, and enjoyed tending to her flower gardens.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Jubin Lane.

Survivors include her step-children, Richard Lane and wife, Kristin and Priscilla Lane; granddaughters, Valerie Brown and husband, Matt, Erica Lane and Ashley Lane; great-grandchildren, Isabella Brown, Ilana Brown and Eli Lane.

A graveside service (services have been moved inside due to weather) will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Calvary United Methodist Church Cemetery, Stuarts Draft.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, February 13, 2015 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 1870 Stuarts Draft Highway.
