Janet Carol McCormick

Janet was born in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Andrew and Marguerite Charcandy on October 26, 1942.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Keith McCormick; son, Hugh Allen McCormick; great grandson, Hutchinson Keith Clawson; sisters, Ruby Gaines, Virginia Thompson, Gloria Burger, Geraldine Michaels, Betty Ball, Dottie McVey, Effie Spencer; brothers, Arthur Buck Charcandy and B.E. Jack Charcandy.

Janet is survived by her son, Jonathan McCormick of VA; daughters, Jackie Baughman and husband, Clarence “Butch” of MD, Teresa Clawson and husband, David of VA; grandsons, Andrew Clawson and wife, Courtney of VA, Hugh McCormick of NY, Jeremy Clawson of CO, Matthew Baughman of MD, Kent Baughman and wife, Gabrielle of HI; granddaughters, Danielle Raymond and husband, Nick of NY, Sarah Clawson-Miller and husband, Kevin of VA, Nicole Johns and husband, Austin of NY, Hailley Baughman of HI, Allyson Clawson of NC; great grandchildren, Carter William Clawson of VA, Joncie Reid Clawson of VA, Merritte Hunter Clawson of VA, Vivian Grace Baughman of HI. She is also survived by her brothers, Donald and Robert Charcandy of WV; sisters, Judy Norvell and Lana Charcandy of WV; as well as many nieces and nephews.

There will be no formal viewing or visitation.

Janet will be interred at the West Virginia National Cemetery with her husband in Grafton, WV. A memorial service will be scheduled by the family at a later date.
