Lonnie Allen Cash

Lonnie was born on September 16, 1937, the son of the late Warren Lyle Cash and Allene (Patterson) Cash. In addition to his parents, Lonnie is preceded in death by his brother, Rev. Don Cash; and an infant sister, Nancy Cash.

Lonnie was a faithful member of Mount Joy, Presbyterian Church, Raphine, Virginia. He served as a deacon and trustee and was dedicated to the lawn and building maintenance. Lonnie loved to be outdoors; he enjoyed hunting, golfing, hiking, bicycling, and 4th of July celebrations.

He participated in slow pitch softball, and some of his favorite pastimes were watching western movies, basketball, and baseball games.

Lonnie was a self-employed business man, providing electric, plumbing, and furnace repair services. His legacy transferred to his son Timmy, as they worked side by side for many years.

Lonnie leaves behind his devoted wife of 67 years, Faye Earl Phillips Cash. Also, his son Timothy Allen Cash; and his cherished granddaughter Ashleigh Faye Cash (Jordan). He is also survived by two brothers, Rev. Warren Cash of Roanoke, and Pat Cash of Raphine; a sister Elizabeth "Libby" Anderson of Roanoke; sister-in-law Shirley Cash of Raphine, and many cherished friends and extended family.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 30th, 2026, at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Funeral Homes, with Rev. David Taylor and Rev. Warren Cash officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
